You are bidding on a World War II official U.S. Army Signal Corps photo of American forces establishing themselves on a beachhead near Cape Esprance (Esperance) in the South Pacific dated February 10, 1943. The photo measures approximately 8" tall and 10" wide. The description of the photo is stamped in purple ink on the back along with it's number "SC 187155". The following is stamped in red ink on the back: "SIGNAL CORPS PHOTO PLEASE CREDIT RELEASED FOR PUBLICATION BY BUREAU OF PUBLIC RELATIONS WAR DEPARTMENT". There is also a sticker adhered to the back with the same typed description of the photo and the number "19" is handwritten in pencil. The U.S. Army Signal Corps logo appears in the lower left corner and the number "187155" in the lower right corner. The photo does not lie flat but is in good condition. The corners show minor wear and some discoloration. Please see our photos for more information regarding condition.
