    Description

    You are bidding on a World War II official U.S. Army Signal Corps photo of a Bushmaster adopting the role of an enemy in the Caribbean jungle.  The photo measures approximately 10" tall and 8" wide.  The following is stamped in purple ink on the back:  "SC 145743 Crack jungle-fighting unit, the 'Bushmasters', Highly trained and tough, they are the spear-heads attacking forces, under the command of Lt. General Frank M. Andrews, Chief of the Caribbean Defense Area.  1942.  A Bushmaster adopts the role of an enemy and quietly prowls thru the jungle."  The following is stamped in green
    on the back:  "SIGNAL CORPS PHOTO PLEASE CREDIT RELEASED FOR PUBLICATION BY BUREAU OF PUBLIC RELATIONS WAR DEPARTMENT."  There is also a sticker adhered to the back with the same typed description of the photo and the numbers "145743 6821" are handwritten in pencil.  The U.S. Army Signal Corps logo and "1467" appear in the bottom right corner on the front of the photo.  The photo does not lie flat but is in good condition.  The corners show minor wear and some discoloration.  Please see our photos for more information regarding condition.  This is a very nice original World War II official U.S. Army Signal Corps photo of a Bushmaster taking on the role of an enemy by prowling through the Caribbean jungle dated 1942.
