    Description

    China-painted ceramics & porcelains were very popular in the early 1900s.  Hand-decorating was done both by companies & as a handicraft hobby at home, usually on a "blank" or plain undecorated piece made in Europe or the US.
    This plate is typical of the style & coloring with gold trim for china painters ca 1910-20s.  It is 9-1/4" in diameter.  Many companies & hobbyists signed & dated their pieces on the bottom, but this plate has only the Thomas Sevres mark, so whether this was hand-decorated at the factory or done by a hobbyist is unknown, but most likely a hobbyist.
    It is in very good vintage condition with no chips, hairlines, or crazing.
