royal doulton my valentine swing england 1979 bone china decorative plate platte

Description

the plate
a limited edition, this is apparently part of a tableware set, but i just can't think of a better role for it to have than decorative plate. plate is 8 1/2" in diameter and and about 7/8" tall. its edge is finished in gold. appears like this girl and boy are swinging from the swing of a porch completely covered in flowers. the perimeter has painted roses and an embosed pattern in white that wraps around the painted flowers and includes them in the pattern. under them is writing that reads «valentine's day». the only other information on the plate is on the reverse:
my valentine
how oft my bright and radiant eyes
o'erflow with love—and so do thine.
how bright the morrow's sun would rise.
would'st thou, love, be my valentine.
