Measuring 9 1/8" x 7 1/4" in size on a stiff card mount 10" x 13" - this silver bromide black and white image
by JOSEPH ROSENTHAL is of the period and was found with other period images of US Armed Forces releases.   This is NOT a reprint or copy, but an ORIGINAL PERIOD U.S. ARMED FORCES release.

Wear and creases to mount i
s consistent with age and use, but displays nicely.  Also, tiny wrinkle to image 1 1/2" long at lower right corner - resultant from mount crease - but not really noticeable.   Please see all photos as they are part of the description.
Image is a nice
matte finish.
PHOTO IS PRINTED ON DOUBLE WEIGHT PAPER - which is unusual. Plus, photo has details of image printed through from
negative found at bottom, which is unusual as well - and apparently indicative of an official U.S. Armed Forces rele
