Nikon NE-1 THEODOLITE, 1 ARC-SEC RESOLUTION w/ CASE and EXTERNAL BATTERY.

Description

Nikon NE-1 Theodolite. This is a 1-arc-second resolution electronic theodolite, hence the name NE-1.  Most older theodolites are 10 and 20 arc-second resolution.  One will be hard pressed to find a 1 arc-second resolution theodolite at this price. Nikon coated optics. 30x magnification.  Automatic self-diagnosis. Vertical angle compensation. . Dual displays and keyboards.
I used this scope for the last 15 years indoors to install factory machinery that used precision linear shafting for my company, recently closed. When not in use, it was stored in an A/C controlled environment.
Optics for both the telescope and the optical plumb bob are perfect. No fungus or scratches on lenses. NOTE, the 2 pictures taken through the optics are shot thru my dirty kitchen window. I will soon be replacing them with ones taken outside.  Please check back.
Axis fine adjustment knobs and locks work smoothly. Only light pressure needed to lock either axis,
The original battery is not included, but instead a separate battery box with a standard 12 volt gel-cell rechargeable battery. The cable plugs into the NE-1's  Aux power port. Scope will run 6-8 hours off battery or for as long as battery charger is plugged in
Handle is included but the posts that attach it in place are broken (see pics). They are included. My plan was to counter bore them and then use a socket head cap screw to re-attach them. That will actually be much stronger than original. They are made of chrome plated brass and the metal on originals at the breaks is very thin, perhaps was designed to break. (see pics)
Included is a 90-deg swappable eye-piece for shooting high angles.
