The Reverse of coin features a unicorn and a mermaid appear on the reverse. The mermaid reaches out from where she lounges by a pool of water to touch a unicorn’s horn. The unicorn bows its head to meet the mermaid’s hand, standing at the edge of the cove. Butterflies and natural foliage of the magical wilderness appear in the background.
The obverse features the Republique du Tchad seal over a high relief background. This background border around the seal displays mythical creatures from dragons and griffins to cyclopses and centaurs.
