    This photograph shows what a commanding presence General MacArthur was!  Here he is with his officers inspecting the beach head of Layte Island, Philippine Islands, October 20, 1944.
    There are U.S. Army Photography stamps on the back that tell of the meeting circumstances and also identify it as an official photograph.
