    This coin is an Indo-Sasanian "
    Gadhaiya Paisa
    " coinage of the
    Chaulukya-Paramara
    nexus.
    It was minted in circa
    800-950
    AD.
    Indo-Sasanian coinage
    was a major type of coinage of the
    post-Gupta Empire period
    , in the areas of
    Gujarat and
    Rajasthan
    in western India and in the Gangetic region, from the 6th century to the 12th century AD.
    These coins were derived from the Sasanian coinage design, probably transmitted to the subcontinent by the Alchon
    Huns as they invaded northern India circa 500 AD.   This coinage was
    current among the various polities
    of Western
    India succeeding the collapse of the Gupta Empire, such as the
    Rashtrakuta, Chaulukya and Palas.
    Chaulukya dynasty
    was a dynasty that ruled parts of what are now
    Gujarat and Rajasthan
    in the north-western India,
    between circa
    940-1244
    AD.  Their capital was located at
    Anahilavada
    (modern Patan).  At times, their rule to Malwa
    region in present-day
    Madhya Pradesh
    .   Patan City is located at (

    Paramara dynasty
    ruled
    Malwa
    and surrounding areas in west-central India between
    9th-14th century
    .  The dynasty was
    established in either 9th or 10th century, and its early rulers most probably ruled
