This is a beautiful, shabby chic style mug and plate set. Both pieces are handpainted with a delicate pink rose design that is accented with a black and white checked pattern. The design features shades of pink, blue, soft green and cream. The checked pattern is accented with raised, white dots. The mug is in excellent, pre-owned condition and measures about 2.75" tall and 4" in diameter. The plate is in very good, pre-owned condition with some light crazing. The crazing is hard to see with the intricacy of the design, but I tried to show it in the last photo. The plate measures about 8.75" in diameter. The back of the plate is signed "JF '97" on the back.
