Item Description
Hessaire shutter exhaust fans are built to industrial application standards with corrosion resistant extruded aluminum frames which will not rust on any mounted surface even when exposed to the harshest elements. Hessaire shutter exhaust fans are ideal for exhausting heat, fumes, and odor in residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural buildings. Hessaire offers shutter mounted exhaust fans from 8" to 36" to fit any size opening. 1.5" wide flanges on the shutters make the unit easy to install. Louvers are constructed with light aircraft grade aluminum alloy for minimal air resistance. Prop is constructed with 5052 aluminum alloy engineered to precise geometry for quietness and air-moving efficiency (except for 30" and 36" - grade G90 galvanized for maximum rust protection). The felt lined edge on louvers provides quiet closing and superior weather seal. 9ft corded plug is included for easy connection. Hessaire achieves the best in class efficiency measured in CFM/Watt. The fan was mounted on an exterior wall above our barbecue to exhaust fumes from the patio. The patio has a low ceiling resulting in a thick cloud of smoke in a small area prior to installing the fan. Now, even with a west wind blowing against the fan, we can enjoy smoke free outdoor cooking. The fan has an understandable noise while running which is an acceptable alternative.

This fan was easy to modify by putting a screen between the fan and the louvers. Keeping insects out is important to me.The fans are barely audible on the outside of my garage and inside the sound is louder since there is another fan on each end of the garage.Installation was easy requiring few tools and extra parts such as nuts and bolts. It helps keep my garage cooler on the hot days of summer.

Works great as a workshop ventilator. I built a box to fit in a sliding window and mounted this fan to the box. I also added a variable speed controller. Now, I can move a lot of air through the workshop to remove dust and recycle the air. Not overly noisy, about the same as a large box fan.
