An original 1966 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Motorcycle, purchased from a local dealer in 1968, and owned by the same individual since 1968.
First year for the Shovel Head, 74 CI motor, 4 speed transmission, loaded with options including tour pack, electric and kick start.
39,500 original miles
Owner was a local GM mechanic who maintained his possessions meticulously.  He was not a wealthy man, so he took very good care of what he had.  Motorcycles were his passion, and this bike was his pride and joy for over 50 years.  It hasn't been ridden much in the last few years, due to his age, however it was still maintained in perfect running order until his passing.
The motor fires right up and rumbles like a Harley should.
This is NOT a restored bike, it is original.  The bike was appraised for insurance purposes by a Harley dealer, he noted even all the hardware is genuine Harley hardware.  There is a small dent in the fuel tank on the left hand side (circled in the last picture) next to the Harley emblem.  This dent was in the bike fuel tank when it was purchased in 1968.
This is a very nice, very rare bike that will carry a reasonable reserve consistent with the year and condition of the bike.
The owner's son will be glad to share all that he knows about the bike with a serious buyer, and will work to ensure the bike transitions to its new owner in as good of condition as it is today.
